About me
I am Christian Pignol, a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. Throughout nearly 30 years of career I have focused all my artistic research on the language of contemporary realism.
My work has been recognised in prestigious competitions, having recently been selected as a finalist in the ModPortrait 2025 contest.

Work and emotion
A body of work that combines realism, atmosphere and contemporary sensibility. Each painting is born from a unhurried gaze upon reality, transforming the everyday into a visual experience charged with intention, silence and emotion.
1. Contemporary Realist Painting
Exploration of light, architecture and the urban landscape from a realist perspective that dialogues between technical precision and visual narrative.
2. Series and Artistic Projects
Development of coherent collections that explore a concept, a space or an atmosphere, building a solid and recognisable artistic discourse.
3. Exhibitions and Collecting
Works featured in solo and group exhibitions, aimed at collectors and spaces that value contemporary figurative painting.
4. Commissions and Collaborations
Creation of commissioned works and collaboration with galleries, institutions and cultural projects, always maintaining artistic identity and technical rigour.
